To buy some time as we made our way across the gulf to get to April’s eclipse zone, we stopped for a week in Fulton, Mississippi. We took a gamble with an Army Corps of Engineers campground having decent cellular service for the week. Fulton’s COE campground is an amazing find in a quaint little town.
Over our six years on the road, we have not had great luck with Army Corp of Engineers parks having enough cellular service for Jason to be able to work the week. This particular campground was positioned well for travel time to get there and to the next stop after it. Reviews also seemed pretty promising that AT&T was going to have enough signal for Jason. Access from the interstate is pretty easy too. There are plenty of resources in town, small-town grocery, a local pharmacy, and a Super Walmart on the other side of the interstate.
The home of Elvis, we checked out some places “Elvis ate here” locations. We drove down to Mississippi State where Jason met with their police department to learn about a new door access system. Otherwise, it’s more low-key time enjoying the woods!
